Each film in the ComiQuest Film Fest 2017 schedule is a winner. If you only see one film, make it the 1966 “Batman.” This was one of my favorite films as a kid, and I totally wore out my beloved VHS copy. In fact, it’s still one of my favorite flicks, and one of the best Batman movies of all time. This scene alone makes it a hit.
If you see two, check out “Blade.” Though it wasn’t the first comic book adaptation, it’s arguably the film which proved the subgenre’s popularity, setting the stage for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe. If you make it to three, watch “King Kong vs Godzilla.” How many opportunities will you have to see this gem on the big screen? But you can’t go wrong with any of these excellent inclusions.
