With November 2016 around the corner, it’s time to begin prepping for Thanksgiving, Christmas on the radio way too early, and Netflix’s ever-changing lineup. Oh wait, Christmas tunes are probably already playing, at least judging by the Big Lots holiday aisles that are already stocked.
November brings a full slate of film and television. The new “Gilmore Girls” Netflix Original Series ranks among the highlights. In fact, November carries with it a slew of Netflix originals, such as “The Crown,” season one, and “All Hail King Julien.” Notably, Stephen King classics “Cujo” and “Thinner.” The Humphrey Bogard-Katherine Hepburn golden age “The African Queen” joins the streaming roster, and “Candyman 2: Farewell to the Flesh” and “Tales from the Darkside: The Movie” bolster the horror section.
As for new releases, “The Jungle Book” makes its way to streaming, 2014’s critically acclaimed “Boyhood” gets added, and “Paddington” reminds us that we all really miss “Downton Abbey” (Hugh Bonneville, aka Lord Grantham, stars in “Paddington” which joins the Netflix instant). If Thomas the Tank Engine is your jam, well, a bunch of “Thomas and Friends” shows come to Netflix.
…and for the departures. A few gems are on their way out, including “E.T.,” “Deliverance,” and “Fatal Attraction.” Superb films “Scream 2,” and “Meet Joe Black” wisp away as well, and “The Boondocks” won’t be available after November 24. So get to binging what you want to watch before it’s gone, and get prepped to add a bunch of titles to your queue. Anyone else pushing the 300+ mark on their queue? Bueller…Bueller…Bueller…oh well, maybe it’s just me.
