As October looms closer, Halloween programming begins to fill up the airwaves. Halloween may technically be Oct. 31, but why celebrate with just one night? Instead, take the entire month to celebrate. Freeform announced their great family-friendly 13 Nights of Halloween lineup which for 2016 looks phenomenal.

More hardcore horror fans however should tune into Syfy’s 31 Days of Halloween event. The fun kicks off on Oct. 1, and runs through Oct. 31. There’s an excellent mix of original content and syndicated films and shows. Highlights include “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” “The Strangers,” “Cabin in the Woods,” “Drag Me to Hell,” and “I, Frankenstein.”

As for original Syfy productions, five new made-for-TV movies debut, and the horror-tinged series “Channel Zero: Candle Cove” hits the telly on OCt. 11 at 9/8c. Check out Syfy’s website for the full schedule.
