You’ve waited, and it’s here. We’re talking, of course, about the “Captain America: Civil War” trailer. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building to the Marvel Civil War, and the “Civil War” teaser looks amazing. In true Marvel style, there’s a lot to dissect in the trailer, so here are our first impressions:
Bucky’s back! What’s more, Bucky Barnes apparently regained his memory, and remembers Cap’s mother’s name.
Falcon is still tagging along with Captain America.
Black Widow tries to convince Cap to stand down, although from the trailer, it’s safe to say he disobeys orders.
General Ross returns! First seen in “The Incredible Hulk,” Ross oddly doesn’t face-off with former adversary Hulk.
Black Panther makes his debut, looking quite sleek. A few fight scenes hint that they might be set in Wakanda.
War Machine makes an appearance, but from a shot of Iron Man holding him in a field, his outcome looks dire.
The tension between Cap and Iron Man comes to blows, and the Captain America and Bucky Barnes vs. Iron Man fight looks awesome.
A document entitled “Sokovia Accords” references the events from “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” According to Comicbook.com, it’s the Mutant Registration Act.
Martin Freeman shows up very briefly, as a yet unnamed character.
A lot of Marvel friendlies show up, including Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, General Ross, War Machine, Iron Man, and of course the titular Captain America. Not depicted in the trailer, but reportedly confirmed, are Vision, Ant-Man, Sharon Carter, and Baron Zemo.
