Netflix May 2017 Arrivals and Departures

May 2017 is just around the corner, so you know what that means. April showers bring May flowers, as well as a rotating selection of movies and television on Netflix.

Let’s start with what’s leaving Netflix in May 2017. “Cujo” retreats with its tale between its legs. “Alfie,” is gone, and so is “Invincible,” heartwarming Philadelphia Eagles docudrama. Looking for something to binge watch? Try all of the “Jurassic Park” flicks which tragically won’t be available after May 2017. This is your last chance to catch Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller starring Cary Grant “To Catch A Thief.”

Ok, and now for what’s arriving on Netflix in May 2017. “Chocolat” will be available, and it’s an adorable 200 film adaptation of the Joanne Harris novel of the same name. 2016 animated feature which I loved and reviewed over on Bubbleblabber is poised to hit the streaming aisle. Archie adaptation “Riverdale” comes to Netflix instant in May 2017, and Benedict Cumberbatch hits “Sherlock” season 4 and “Doctor Strange” also arrive on Netflix in May 2017. But possibly the biggest May 2017 Netflix addition is “House of Cards” season 5. The Netflix original series debuted to rave reviews and aims to continue its history of excellence.
