Netflix August 2017 arrivals and departures

Out with the old, and in with the new. As August 2017 hits, the Netflix August 2017 roster changes. The live-action “Death Note” series hits Netflix in August. It’s just as much anticipated as it is controversial. It may be July, but “Bad Santa” also strikes Netflix. Also prepare for the epic “Cloud Atlas,” and the remake of “Funny Games,” and the entire “Matrix” trilogy.

On the Netflix originals front, “Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later” season 1 drops. “Voltron: Legendary Defender” season 3 hits and should usher in tons of nostalgia. Marvel continues its stellar Netflix partnership with “The Defenders.”

But as they say, what goes up must come down. “10 Things I Hate About You” leaves Netflix. It’s also your last chance to watch “Justice League,” and “Justice League Unlimited.” Comedy “Superbad” leaves, and it’s your last chance to watch “Dope.” Just in time for football season, comedy “The League” gets sidelined.
